My first project shot entirely on film, this series of photos is not just a document of my travels throughout Northern China and Japan, but a depiction of the moments on my journey that felt essential in representing these important places. To capture single frame in the bustling, endless days of hyper-modern, overpopulated cities is to slow down the pace of such a chaotic location, and distill its spirit, its essence, in one composition.
