These images were taken on an exchange trip to Bonn, Germany and surrounding towns, in 2018. My first real foray into creating a cohesive photography project, the focus was to bring to life a country rich in history through the fast-paced capture of images, and the lens of a foreign student. These images construct an image of the country by juxtaposing historical importance with modern sensibilities - provoking the question of how one might view our own home.
The title "unfiltered" was chosen as a way to describe the raw, unprocessed images - any further alteration might influence the photographs with some kind of bias. Essentially, what you are seeing is as pure and close to reality as I've seen it, and the interpretation of mood and context is up to the viewer.
